Bungee jumping involves jumping from a structure high above the ground while attached to a long rubber cord. The place you bungee jump from is usually a fixed object, such as a building, bridge or crane. It is also possible to bungee jump from a moving object, such as a hot-air-balloon or helicopter, that has the ability to hover over one spot on the ground.

The fun of bungee jumping comes from both the thrill of the free-fall and the rebounds

Bungee jumping comes in a variety of forms. There is the well known bungee jumping from a bridge, crane or building. then there are bungee jumps from other aerial platforms such as helicopters or cable cars.

For bungee jumping with a difference, you could go for bungee jumping in the dark, or inverse bungee jumping where you get catapulted up into the air. If you don’t want to bungee jump alone, you can do a tandem bungee jump. One way to scare the pants out of your partner!

The world renowned AJ Hackett added a SkyJump to the Macau Tower, making it the world’s highest jump at 233 metres (764 ft).

Wherever you decide to do a bungee jump, make sure it is with a company that has a good reputation. Ask around and look at reviews before booking. Bungee jumping doesn’t always go according to plan, so make sure you are happy with this undertaking before you do it!
